0 - OTTAWA SECOND-HALF POINTS
After a fairly productive first half by the REDBLACKS they were unable to find the same rhythm after the interval, as the Ticats' defence shut them down across the final two quarters.
Hamilton limited Ottawa to just four first-down pickups in the second half, with the first of those coming from a special teams penalty. Mitchell Agude's strip sack on McLeod Bethel-Thompson firmly turned the tide in Hamilton's favour, putting a bow on an impressive second-half defensive performance.
2 - KENNY LAWLER TOUCHDOWNS
Lawler put together what was by far his most productive outing of the season on Friday night,, finishing the contest with 132 receiving yards and two touchdowns on six catches.
Hamilton's star receiver was lethal around the end zone, showing off his athleticism and contested-catch ability on a few occasions, with two of those grabs leading to majors. His first came at the end of the third quarter on a five-yard play, putting Hamilton into their first lead of the game. On the ensuing drive, Lawler made a highlight-reel snag and reached the pylon for a 41-yard score.
342 - HARRISON FROST PASSING YARDS
Lawler wasn't the only one getting the football from Frost on Friday. Hamilton's quarterback connected with eight different receivers in what was his best game of the season, completing 28 of his 35 passes for two touchdowns and a season-high 342 yards.
Frost had time in the pocket and used that time effectively, missing on just seven of his pass attempts. He led his team on three consecutive touchdown drives in the second half to secure the win.
