Saskatchewan had a pair of sleeper receivers who delivered quality numbers for CFL Weekly Fantasy players in Week 18.

Daniel Wiebe ($7,200) scored 20.8 Fantasy Points, while a $6,600 investment in Johnny Johnson III turned into 19.3 FP.

Who comprises the quartet of sleepers on Mobil Thanksgiving Weekend?

Let’s find out.

HARRISON FROST | QUARTERBACK | HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

Harrison Frost has shown flashes of potential, throwing for better than 300 yards in two of his last three games, including a career-best 342 yards in the Week 18 win over Ottawa. He was able to turn Kenny Lawler back into an elite receiver, as the duo combined for six completions for 132 yards and a pair of majors. It was Lawler’s first 100-yard game of the season.

Yes, interceptions are a pain in Frost’s backside (10 in 216 attempts). However, he does have a talented receiving corps to work with and will likely be playing from behind against Edmonton on Friday Night Football. The Elks are second in passing yards allowed per game, but if you’re a CFL Weekly Fantasy user who loves walking on the wild side, look toward Frost and his $10,200 salary.

CADE MCDONALD | RECEIVER | OTTAWA REDBLACKS

Quietly, Cade McDonald is carving himself a role in the REDBLACKS offence. The newcomer led the team with 58 receiving yards in the Week 18 loss to Hamilton, his second straight game with 50+. On the surface, his numbers aren’t eye opening, yet McDonald is getting more attention with McLeod Bethel-Thompson at pivot.

A pass-catching unit that has Ayden Eberhardt, Justin Hardy, and Keelan White makes it difficult to get plenty of targets. McDonald can be the exception, particularly on Friday against a BC pass defence that has allowed 29 touchdown passes and a 106-efficiency rate versus opposing QBs. He’s only $5,100 this week and merits consideration if you’re seeking a very deep sleeper.

CLARK BARNES | RECEIVER | CALGARY STAMPEDERS

The resurgence of Vernon Adams Jr. has benefited more than just Jalen Philpot in the Stampeders receiving corps. For the second time this season, Clark Barnes has majors in consecutive games, and his penchant for creating big plays is appealing, especially with his modest $7,900 salary.

Barnes averages 16.5 yards per catch and is an efficient deep pass-catcher, pulling in eight of 13 targets of at least 20 yards. With the way Adams Jr. spreads the ball around, Barnes doesn’t get a high volume of targets, yet he has caught 12 of the last 14 passes thrown in his direction. That might scare off some fantasy users. Don’t be one of them.

DRU BROWN | QUARTERBACK | WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

Any pivot starting against the Calgary defence is fantasy viable. Dru Brown is no exception, even after coming off a sluggish Week 18 versus Montreal that saw him finish with a mere 10 Fantasy Points.

The Stamps have yielded a CFL-worst 60 offensive touchdowns, 40 of those coming via the pass (also last). Calgary has also allowed 328.1 passing yards per game and 31 completions of at least 30 yards. If those numbers aren’t enough to make you think long and hard about Brown and his $10,100 salary, then, well...
