TORONTO -- There's just one week left in the regular season and it's closer than ever in the CFL.ca writer picks.

Jamie Nye and Vicki Hall are tied for first, followed by Kristina Costabile, who is two games behind.

We'll remind readers that writer picks continue through the postseason, as Kristina, Pat Steinberg and Matt Cauz all look to catch up to Jamie and Vicki.

Let's find out who the writers are picking in Week 21.

MONTREAL AT TORONTO

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23 7:00 P.M. ET TSN, RDS2, CFL+

Both the Montreal Alouettes and Toronto Argonauts know their playoff fates already, with the Als hosting the Eastern Final and the Argos hosting the Eastern Semi-Final. This could be a preview of the Eastern Final, if Toronto defeats whoever the crossover team is on October 31. Last week Dustin Crum started for the Als, while Davis Alexander was listed as the third-string quarterback and did not play. Will it be the same this week against Toronto? With the Argos just a week away from the Semi-Final, do they follow suit and rest some starters? Regardless of who starts, Toronto will look to defend their 4-1 home record on Friday night.

WRITERS' PICK: 60% Montreal

WINNIPEG AT BC

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23 10:00 P.M. ET TSN, CFL+

Winnipeg still has everything to play for this week. They can finish third (Western Semi-Final at BC), fourth (crossover) or fifth (miss the playoffs). While they need some help from other teams this weekend, the most important thing for Zach Collaros and co. to do is win. BC knows they're hosting the Western Semi-Final next weekend, but will still want to give their home crowd a win in the final regular season game at BC Place. Most of the writers think it will be the Bombers securing the two points.

WRITERS' PICK: 80% Winnipeg

OTTAWA AT HAMILTON

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 3:00 P.M. ET TSN, CFL+

Ottawa won its first game of the 2026 season last week. It was in dramatic fashion, with rookie quarterback Bryson Barnes throwing the game-winning touchdown to Ayden Eberhardt with nine seconds left on the clock. They'll be looking to take the momentum of that win to Hamilton this weekend as they visit the Tiger-Cats, who are returning from a Week 20 bye. Most of the experts think Ryan Dinwiddie's group can secure a win for the second week in a row.

WRITERS' PICK: 60% Ottawa

EDMONTON AT SASKATCHEWAN

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 3:00 P.M. ET TSN, RDS2, CFL+

The Riders secured a playoff spot last weekend so they know they're in the postseason. It just needs to be determined if Saskatchewan is going to play in the Western Semi-Final or become the crossover team to play in the Eastern Semi-Final. Edmonton already knows their fate, hosting the Western Final, so this is the final week for them to tune up before a week off ahead of their winner-takes-all matchup.
