Stampeders sign six to practice roster

CALGARY -- The Calgary Stampeders have signed five Americans in defensive back Devin Grant, linebacker Kai Hill-Green, defensive linemen Tomasi Laulile and Navaeh Sanders and offensive lineman Kamar Missouri to their practice roster, the team announced on Tuesday. Also joining the Red and White is National defensive back Jacob Taylor.
Grant signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League in May and was waived at the conclusion of training camp.
He played two seasons (2024-25) at Syracuse where he made 16 starts in 22 games. Grant registered 85 tackles including 11 tackles for loss, seven passes defended, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, three sacks and one interception with the Orange. He spent the previous two seasons (2022-23) at Buffalo and was a first-team all-Mid-American Conference selection in 2023.
Hill-Green signed as an undrafted free agent with the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams in May before being waived at the end of training camp.
He played his senior season in 2025 at Alabama, making two starts in 15 games. Hill-Green tallied 60 tackles including five tackles for loss, three passes defended, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery with the Crimson Tide. He played at Colorado in 2024, Charlotte in 2023 and Michigan from 2020-22.
From 2018-23, Laulile spent time with four NFL teams as well as the Dallas Renegades of the XFL and the Houston Gamblers of the USFL. In 2025, he played 10 games for the BC Lions and made nine starts, recording 10 defensive tackles including one tackle for loss, one sack and one forced fumble.
Laulile spent four seasons (2013-16) at BYU and made three starts in 32 games for the Cougars. After serving as a medical redshirt in 2013, he registered 47 tackles including 10 tackles for loss, six sacks, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries including one returned for a touchdown and one interception over the next three years.
Sanders attended rookie mini-camp with the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks earlier this year.
He played at Mississippi State as a senior in 2025. In 13 games with the Bulldogs, he had 12 tackles including one tackle for loss, two blocked kicks and one sack. Sanders spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Northern Illinois where he appeared in 25 games and had 15 tackles including 7.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass deflection for the Huskies. He was at Iowa Western Community College in 2021 and 2022.
Missouri signed as an undrafted free agent with the Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL in May but was released from their practice squad earlier this month.
He played the 2024 and 2025 seasons at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Missouri started all 26 games at left tackle for the Roadrunners and was assessed only four penalties while giving up just three sacks across two years. He transferred from Rutgers where he played from 2021-23. He made four starts at right tackle in 17 appearances for the Scarlet Knights.
Taylor was selected by Edmonton in the second round (18th overall) of the 2023 CFL Canadian Draft. In 22 games across the 2023-24 seasons, he played 22 games and made 11 special teams tackles and four defensive tackles.
Taylor played for the Alberta Golden Bears from 2019-22 and in 21 appearances, he had 77 defensive tackles including three tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries, one interception and one sack.
