Ticats sign Global punter Nik Constantinou

HAMILTON -- The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced on Monday that the team has brought back Global punter Nik Constantinou and signed American linebacker Daveren Rayner.
Constantinou, 26, re-joins the Tiger-Cats after a stint with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns. Before that, the Australian punter spent two seasons (2024–2025) in Black & Gold. He was selected by the Tiger-Cats in the first round (fifth overall) of the 2024 CFL Global Draft and signed with the club in May 2024. During his time in Hamilton, the Melbourne, Australia, native appeared in 36 games, punting 192 times for 9,146 yards with a 47.6-yard average.
Rayner, 24, joins the Tiger-Cats after concluding his collegiate career at the University of Kentucky. In 2025, the redshirt senior started all 12 games and finished second on the team with 69 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss, adding 2.0 sacks, four pass breakups and two interceptions to earn SEC Defensive Player of the Week honours for his performance against Florida. The Indianapolis native began his collegiate career at Northern Illinois, spending three seasons (2020–2022) in the MAC before transferring to Kentucky
